Hassane El Sheref is a Partner and Head of the Intellectual Property Department at Shield Advocates – Al Hawy & Hassane. With over a decade of experience, he is recognized as one of Egypt’s leading IP practitioners and a trusted advisor on all aspects of intellectual property law across the MENA region
His practice spans the full spectrum of IP rights, including trademarks, patents, industrial designs, copyrights, software, trade secrets, and plant varieties. Hassane advises both local and international clients on the strategic development, registration, and protection of their IP assets, while also leading enforcement efforts against infringement, counterfeiting, and unfair competition. He represents clients before administrative and judicial bodies and is known for achieving favorable settlements and outcomes in high-stakes disputes.
